Someone always feels that his computer is not running fast enough and says that it causes him to be uncomfortable all day long. He ended up using the money he saved to buy a new computer. It's not clear if his physical symptoms went away at the end. I suspect it was a disease and his computer wasn't not running smoothly at all. It was a hallucination on his part. What drives the misconception? Equating the purchase of goods with happiness in life, and even making a habit of it.
