Jan-Lukas Elsejlelse's BlogOnce again I have coded a new small blog feature: statistics 📈 (English blog, German blog). I find it interesting to observe how the number of posts per year has changed over the years. Maybe I’ll add more detailed statistics with posts per month etc. soon.
Jan-Lukas ElseTwo years jlelse.blogTwo years ago today, I registered jlelse.blog and merged my different blogs into one. Since then, I definitely blog more and now use the blog instead of posting on siloed platforms as well. It has definitely paid off. And the domain is already renewed for another two years.Update: As asked in a comment, “paid off” in the sense that I enjoy blogging a lot and I really use the domain and not just bought it for fun. Of course, traffic has increased since then, but since I do not earn money w…

Jan-Lukas ElseAdvanced BlogstatsThis evening I had a little fun with SQL and JavaScript. Now it is possible to see the number of posts without date in my blog statistics (en/de), but also the number of posts in each month of each year. By clicking on the year, the months are displayed. It would not have needed JavaScript in the frontend, would there be something like summary/details for tables. But at least it’s less than 1 KB of JavaScript.
Jan-Lukas ElseMy April '21 in ReviewAnd now another month is already over, a whole third of the year already. How time flies… And so I come to the review of the past month. On March 31st, my new employment contract started and with it a week and a half of vacation, which I spent mostly with my family and then with my girlfriend. Then on April 12th was my first real working day as a software developer. I already wrote about my experiences (🇩🇪) of the first week in a post.I still have a lot of fun at work. Even if I don’…
Immerhin 314 e…
