Today is not yet the last day of December, but since I still plan to write a yearly review, the monthly review comes rather two days earlier. So December…

December is the month of advent calendars. Not only did I open a chocolate advent calendar every day and an advent calendar with photos that my girlfriend gave me, but there was also a blog introduction to read every day until Christmas on James Blog, where my blog was also mentioned once. And I tried my hand at “Advent of Code” and even made it to day 15 this year before giving up slightly frustrated.

After Advent comes Christmas, time to take some time off from work and relax a bit. So already on December 17 was my last day of work this year and I have spent the days since then with my girlfriend and family. It’s also the first vacation in a few years where I can really take a vacation and not still have to think about school or university exams, submissions or even my bachelor thesis. I am quite happy to have the whole thing behind me for now…

Even though I didn’t work, it doesn’t mean that I didn’t program something on the computer. So I added some small features to my blog software and increased the test coverage. I also had time to surf the internet more intensively again and try out different things.

The day after tomorrow this year will end. The time until then I will mainly relax at home alone and on New Year’s Eve I will end the year with my girlfriend and her family and start the new year.

I hope all my readers had a happy holiday season or at least a few relaxing days and I wish everyone a happy new year!
