My January ‘22 in Review
Crazy, new year and yet January is already over, how time flies! What was going on?
I celebrated the start of the new year with my girlfriend and her family. The first days of January, when I also had vacation, I also spent time with my girlfriend and did some programming, started to clean out my apartment and moved my emails to another provider.
Speaking of moving, not only did I move my emails, in March I will also move myself. Quite spontaneously, but after thinking about it for a long time, I started looking for a two-room apartment for myself and after only one week I found it and signed my first own lease. Why I am moving? It just doesn’t make sense to live alone in a five-room apartment that is too big for me alone and I finally want to have my own space. Since I’ve been working full time for almost a year now, I think the time is right. But I have written a detailed article (🇩🇪) about it.
To make sure that everything works with the move, I have since then now started with the preparations. At the moment I’m mainly cleaning out things. Right now I’m looking at which books can still be sold and which I have to give away or even discard. My goal is to only take things into the new apartment that I really use or that have a meaning for me. And besides that, it’s of course advantageous to take as little stuff as possible with me, so there are fewer boxes to carry.
Normally I’m not the type of person to make New Year’s resolutions, but this year I decided to try and get into some new habits. Using a habit tracking app, I’m now trying to regularly read, go for a walk, and row on my rowing machine. So far, it’s working out pretty well. (1, 2 (🇩🇪))
Let’s see what the next month brings!
