⚠️ This entry is already over one year old. It may no longer be up to date. Opinions may have changed. When I wrote this post, I was only 20 years old!

March 2020 was the strangest month I have experienced in my almost 21 years. While in February I only noticed Corona slightly, today Corona determines the everyday life of most people worldwide. Corona is suddenly there as a danger that one could not even have dreamed of. Suddenly public life is completely at a standstill, only shops for essential goods are open, millions of people do home office and it is (in Germany) forbidden to meet more than one person in public.

By spending almost all the time indoors to protect yourself and other people, you suddenly lose the sense of time. A day suddenly feels like a week and it is also difficult to estimate relative time spans. How long is Corona already going on, is it only a few weeks or already 2 months?

But there’s no point in complaining about it. Since you have little influence on this pandemic - except of course to follow all the rules to save lives - you can only try to make the best out of the situation and maybe even see it as a chance for yourself. I, for example, was finally able to get over myself, at least sometimes, to do without ready-made meals and cook my own food again. The lack of commuting to the university also saves me a few hours a week, which comes in handy. And I put on my running shoes more often to get some exercise (of course with enough distance to other people).

What else did I do this month? Since I sat alone and at home a lot, my computer was probably on in March as long as never before in a month. Besides university stuff, I did a lot of programming (a little for university, but also a lot of my own stuff), blogging and watching videos. For example, I finally picked up on my project MailyGo, formerly Maily-Form, and redeveloped it completely. I also started a new project called GoShort. But I also made progress on the tools that run in the background of my blog.

Since it’s hard to foresee how the situation will develop or even what the future will bring, it’s just as hard to set goals for the next month. Much more I want to express the wish that please follow all the necessary rules to contain the virus and let the situation relax again.

Stay healthy!
