Physical Exhaustion Is Making Me More Productive
While writing this post, I’m already very tired, but I just want to add another thing to the list with things I did today. Today was a quite productive day, although it were holidays and I didn’t need to go to university. I had the option to sleep as long as I wanted, but I didn’t sleep until noon to get things done.
One negative aspect of studying compared to working is, that you need to do things at home very often. Homework, learning and all that stuff. It’s kinda annoying but it’s necessary. So I did a lot of things from this category today.
Another thing I did today was clearing last details of a big deal that will happen soon, I had to write my first ever invoice. I definitely need to consult a person with more legal knowledge than me soon, to stay on the legal site.
But why did I do so many things today? It is related to me buying new running shoes yesterday…
Why that, you might ask. Because with these new shoes, that finally solve my problem of getting knee pain after too long distances, I ran yesterday and I ran today. I felt physical exhaustion and that’s sometimes necessary for me to get things done. I don’t know the exact reasons, but it might be the fresh oxygen in my head, the pain I felt while running that’s making me stronger during mental exhaustion or the sleep of which I get more because I get earlier to bed due to being more tired. Running is a great activity to turn off your head and get distance to all the things you still need to do.
I really want to get back into the habit of running almost daily. I won’t run daily, because that isn’t healthy too (your body needs regeneration - I learned that the hard way), but at least 3 or 4 times a week. Maybe even in the morning before eating breakfast. Last September I did run everyday for at least 30 days in a row - and it was great.
