My September ‘22 in Review
Now September is over, a month in which I have again extraordinarily blogged so little, even as little as not since the beginning of 2019. But that’s no wonder, after all, this was my first month in the new job and I also spent a lot of time with my girlfriend, who was with me for the month.
I’m really enjoying the new job. In the first sprint (each sprint lasts two weeks), I mainly had a look around and familiarized myself with the work. In the second sprint, I was able to implement my first major task and received a lot of praise for it. The fact that I work in an international team and therefore have to speak a lot of English is also less bad than I feared. And I finally have the feeling that I’m also learning some new technical things. So for the first time I have dealt more intensively with Quarkus or Apache Kafka.
All the time with my girlfriend showed us that we also get along very well in one household, which is why we are now looking for a shared apartment in her student town. I would then keep my current apartment as a second home. But somehow the search turns out to be more difficult than expected. And that’s not because of unrealistic expectations, but simply because there don’t seem to be many free rental apartments at the moment.
Let’s see what October brings… Maybe I’ll blog more again.
