web0?
With all the hype (or bullshit) about “web3”, it’s good to see a counter movement as well. Whether this site is really “web0” or just pre-“Web 2++” (my term for websites overloaded with frameworks, JavaScript and CSS) remains to be debated…

After being cut off from DSL for about 30 hours, I finally have landline Internet again. On the one hand, it makes me angry that the provider didn’t solve this faster (the whole street with hundreds of residents was offline), but on the other hand, it also showed me my dependence on the Internet. I could not really do anything, not even watch TV, because that is also only possible via the Internet. Just a small comparison to show that many websites are completely obese: My bachelor thesis in PDF format (which I handed in yesterday) has a size of 1.4 MB. It contains several images and 85 pages of text. With a high information density, this is a much smaller size than most websites have. And it would have been probably also possible to compress or optimize the PDF further.
