First impression: Deezer as an alternative to Spotify
After many years as a Spotify user, I’m currently trying out Deezer (Premium) as an alternative to Spotify (Premium).
After two days, it seems to me that while Spotify has the better algorithms for content suggestions (even if they don’t always respect it if you don’t want any more suggestions from a particular artist), Deezer’s algorithms aren’t bad either, but the apps are much better. It’s possible to listen in high quality in the browser, and the app also feels smoother and tidier on Android.
And what I also find cool about Deezer is that there is an extra app for audio books. I don’t like listening to podcasts lately because it’s often too much babble, but audiobooks aren’t that bad, for example in the evening before falling asleep.
What do you think?
PS: I think I found a mistake on the Deezer site or does the annual plan really cost almost 90€ PER month after the first year?
At the end of the 12-month period, you will be charged 89,91 €/month unless you opt-out.
