Private diary blogging!

⚠️ This entry is already over one year old. It may no longer be up to date. Opinions may have changed.

After I had the spontaneous idea to just use my own blog software for diary writing, I added the functionality for a “private mode” this morning. In private mode a login is required on all pages.

In the end, I was able to implement the whole thing with just a few lines of code, which showed me once again that I was quite good at making the whole code as flexible as possible (at least for my own use cases).

With Indigenous for Android I can now write down thoughts about the day from my phone, but also use the web editor or any Micropub application.

Maybe I should set a notification to remind me every evening to write down something about the day before I can’t remember it properly the next morning.

The value of diary writing will probably only become apparent after a longer period of time, when you can then look into your notes and remember certain things.
