Windows 11 is even better than I expected and my first impression was. Next to running Linux GUI apps, there’s also winget included, the Windows Package Manager. winget allows installing and updating apps directly from the terminal. (I first blogged about it last year in May.)

With winget upgrade you can search for upgrades. Doing this showed me that there was an update available for OneDrive, which I just installed using winget upgrade Microsoft.OneDrive.

With winget search you can also search and find apps. This way you don’t need to manually browse websites for EXE or MSI files anymore.

Windows 11 feels more like a Linux distribution now. 😂 I need to be careful not to become a Windows fanboy…

Update: winget is now included in Windows 10 as well.
