Deezer announced today that it is raising prices in Germany and Austria for new customers. Premium now costs 1€ more. But (for new customers) Premium also includes Hi-Fi directly.
As I mentioned the other day, I quite like Deezer, even to the point of having an annual subscription. But the Hi-Fi option sounds interesting, listening to music in lossless CD quality is something I would also like to try, after all the headphones I bought last year also support Hi-Res audio.
However, since my annual subscription is up until the end of April, I messaged the Deezer support via chat. I asked if it would be possible to activate the Hi-Fi option in my existing annual subscription. This was not directly possible, however, they suggested that I switch to the new annual subscription and then I would be credited the two months that are omitted by the change. I did that right away and now I can listen to music in Hi-Fi. (However, I can’t say yet if you can hear a big difference…)
Top service, Deezer!
