Bitwarden Unified

Bitwarden (my favorite and recommended password manager) is offering a “new deployment option”. This new option combines all microservices into a single Docker container and doesn’t require 11 different containers anymore. And it supports PostgreSQL and MariaDB in addition to MS SQL.

I wonder if this is a viable alternative to Vaultwarden (formerly bitwarden_rs)? Currently I self-host Vaultwarden to get the Bitwarden Premium features like TOTP support for free and also to be able to share passwords with my girlfriend.

A solution offered directly by Bitwarden would have the advantage to receive updates (and security updates!) faster. And when 100 MB of memory is really enough, that doesn’t sound that bad. Sure, Vaultwarden is still more lightweight and supports SQLite which is more than enough for my use case…
