First impressions of my new printer

I recently bought a new printer: the Xerox B225. I discovered it by chance (while looking for a good printer) as a reduced return in an online store. Someone must have just tried it out briefly and sent it back. I’m happy!

I am now car-less

I have posted a little less than usual the last few days - at least on this blog. But a few articles on my German blog. I finally sold my car today, or rather my grandmother’s car that she gave me, after I had been planning to do so for a very long time.

Cryptocurrencies are just bullshit, right?

One keeps hearing about some cryptocurrency projects and how people got rich with Bitcoin. But somehow I don’t understand the whole purpose behind it and I’m beginning to suspect that it’s just a pyramid scheme.

Principles or convenience?

Actually, I’m more of a fan of free, libre and open source software. So if possible I prefer to use Libre Office instead of Microsoft Office. But now, for two presentations for university, I tried Google Presentation. And what can I say? It’s actually not the bad. It is very easy to use. The suggestions, similar to those in PowerPoint, are very good for giving slides an attractive design. And also the slide master editor is somehow easier to use than I remember from Libre Office.

SCSS adventures

I’m currently in the process of improving my sites Hugo theme. I removed features I never used and simplified unorganized HTML and CSS, to enable adding new features (like better support for IndieWeb things) later.
