I’m generally not a gamer, playing computer games has never really fascinated me, I find programming more exciting. But sometimes I don’t feel like programming or I don’t have the possibility to do it. Of course it’s important to be bored sometimes, because then you can think about things for a while. But a little entertainment in a free minute is sometimes not bad as well.

I have now completely disabled logging on my sites. Why? Because I don’t need the logs. Sometimes I used GoAccess to analyze the 30 days of logs, but I did that less and less and it doesn’t bring me any benefit. If any page is broken, I hope someone will send me a message.

If you need a simple tool, that sends some load to your web application or site, you can use hey. You can also use it to measure the performance. It provides a nice overview of the distribution of response times and shows how many requests per second your app served.

The result of the Stack Overflow Developer Survey 2020 has been published and as every year it is quite interesting to take a look at it. But it is also important to note that the survey was conducted in February, before some countries went into lockdown.

I generally prefer dark user interfaces wherever possible. My phone is set to a dark mode (as far as there is a dark mode in Android Pie), apps like Telegram are set to dark mode and on the desktop I prefer dark modes too. But the most important software I use everyday is a web browser. And most websites don’t support a dark mode yet (because there was no native browser feature for that until recently).

Yesterday in the evening, it took me only one moment to decide, that I’ll get up early today, although I had no lessons and not really the need to get up that early. But there were some things I had to get done though and my experience (and the statistics on Todoist) showed me, that I get a lot more done when I get up early.
