On the one hand, it feels pretty good to have worked quite focused all the time from seven in the morning until half past six in the evening and also to have accomplished a lot. On the other hand, it’s also pretty exhausting and I’m glad I only have to work 40 hours a week, so I don’t have to work that long every day. But still, I’m glad to have a job that I enjoy and am good at, that pays well and is not physically demanding. 👨‍💻

Published on in 👨‍💻 Dev

At work today I came across an Eclipse feature for cleaning up Java code. It helps you to improve the code, for example to add final to attributes or parameters, or to improve boolean expressions.

I have already written about my blogroll several times. After I automated it with Hugo and was also able to implement the automatic creation with GoBlog, I have now significantly improved the integration in GoBlog. Blogroll support is now directly in the application, hopefully supports other services besides Miniflux and there is an OPML download now. Blogrolls rock!

This week is the final spurt for my bachelor thesis. I want to submit it on Thursday or Friday. Then there’s my presentation two or three weeks later. And when I pass that, I’m no longer a student. I’m excited, but it’s also a strange feeling after more than three and a half years of working towards this goal.

Why I don't care if people visit my blog

Published on in 💭 Thoughts

I take the position that I don’t care where people consume my content. Be it directly on the site, via RSS or via Telegram Instant View. I don’t give a shit. The main thing is that people find a use or like what I publish.

I recently showed an Instant View template for Telegram. I had the hope that Telegram is fast with accepting the submission, but so far nothing has happened. So I have manually implemented something that makes it possible to use Instant View in my Telegram channels (en, de).
