Yesterday and this morning I worked from the office rather than from home due to planned power interruptions. Impressions: My monitor at home is better, my chair is more comfortable and at home it is quieter (there is construction work in the office right now). Only the Internet is much faster in the office.

One of the tech news sites I read has switched from Disqus to native WordPress comments. Where uBlock Origin used to block more than 15 items (unfortunately I don’t remember the exact number), now only 2 items are blocked. 👍 (also for not switching to “Comment on Twitter” instead)

Modularizing GoBlog?

I just separated the function I told you about the other day (the one for marking text with “==") as a Go module. After reading books about Docker and Kubernetes for most of the day today, I wanted to do a bit of programming after all: My blog now has shortened URLs for posts. https://jlelse.blog/s/1 for example redirects to my last post about my current writing workflow.

Since moving my blog to my new CMS, I don’t count visits to this website anymore. Previously I used my own view counter named KISSS or kis3. It served me quite well. But to be honest, I don’t even miss the numbers, now that I can’t see them anymore.
