My evening project today was to develop a feature to display post locations in GoBlog, for which I created a custom Go module (100% test coverage!) that roughly parses geo-URIs according to RFC 5870. Nice feature for when the location should be relevant for the post context or I want to save where I shared a photo. An example in this post. 😉

I am a fan of SQLite. SQLite is brilliant, offers a lot of features, but is often underestimated. Also my blog uses SQLite, as well as my URL shortener.

Today was probably the last day with temperatures close to 20°C in the near future. But that’s ok, because 20°C is quite warm in February.

Quick Assist on Windows 10

I just learned about a pre-installed tool on Windows 10 called “Quick Assist” (or “Remotehilfe” in German). It has basically the same features most people use from tools like TeamViewer or AnyDesk. It lets you view or control a remote computer to help your family with computer problems for example.

Half a year ago I introduced an alternative site that provides RSS feeds for Hacker News. However, I banned this feed from my feed reader some time ago and another alternative feed shows me the top links of the previous day the following day. Sometimes, though, I check the site manually.
